I was skeptical at first on this drink, but was pleasantly surprised by how refreshing it was! The carbonated water was a perfect addition 🙌 perfect to beat the Texas summer heat

So happy to hear the drink was enjoyed, Cande! Hope you stay cool out there ☀️

Just made this as an afternoon pick me up and it was delicious. I substituted orange juice and grapefruit sparkling water because that’s what I had on hand and it worked out really well.

Ooo sounds delicious, Madi, thank you 🤩

Did it with just mango since we didn‘t have peach at home and with a sugar-elderflower glass ribbon. Looks and tastes amazing!

That sounds incredible, Daria! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your delicious twist with us 🤩

Another delight! Love the reaction when pouring the mixture into the sparkling water - creating a little foam topper - made the presentation extra fancy and allowed the mint leaves to sit nicely on top.
I used maple syrup instead of elderflower as that was not something I could find at the store. What recommendations do you have for other alternatives?

Yay, so glad this drink was enjoyed Linda Fe! Substituting a unique flavour like elderflower can be challenging because its sweet, floral notes are somewhat unique. With that said, here are a few alternatives you could consider:

Simple Syrup + Floral Extracts: make your own simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water, heated until the sugar dissolves), and add a few drops of a floral extract, like rose or lavender, to emulate the floral notes of elderflower.
Maple Syrup or Agave Syrup: the floral notes aren't totally necessary for the drink, so you did well to swap with maple syrup. It adds at least adds sweetness.
Pear or Apple Juice Concentrate: some people find that these can serve as decent stand-ins for the fruitiness of elderflower.

I hope this helps for now in case you decide to give it another go :)

Thank you for all the different options! I'll definitely give it another go in the future with a homeade floral syrup. Truly, thank you for the details!
