Una Montanez - Nov. 11, 2024, 4:44 p.m.

I had to use chickpeas instead and I was not expecting to love this recipe so much. It's going to be a go to breakfast from now on!

Dominika - Oct. 13, 2024, 8:53 a.m.

I like it!

Jovana Mitrovic - Aug. 12, 2024, 3:01 p.m.

I absolutely loved this dish! The recipe was incredibly easy to follow and so delicious. I added a splash of water to the bean spread to help it blend nicely and swapped out chipotle for cayenne pepper, which gave it a perfect kick. Highly recommend trying it!

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the avocado toast recipe, Jovana 🫢✨

Maria Ribbe (nymui) - April 30, 2024, 1:35 p.m.

This is both refreshing and indulgent somehow. Definitely a treat as a lunch snack.

Suzy B. - April 27, 2024, 6:41 p.m.

Super easy and delicious! I think the spread easily covers 6 slices. I ran out of nutritional yeast and subbed it for vegan feta. Also very good 😊

Gesa von Hirschheydt - Feb. 16, 2024, 12:37 p.m.

I absolutely LOVE this food! Did not this recipe include black sesame seeds at some point in the past...? In any case, I always sprinkle those on top in addition and it's both beautiful and delicious!

PUL small logo PUL Team - Feb. 18, 2024, 4:15 a.m.

So glad you're enjoying the recipe, Gesa! Black sesame seeds are an optional garnish for this recipe 🀩

Christine - Jan. 21, 2024, 6:44 p.m.

SO GOOD…I didn’t have recommended beans on hand so used a can of chickpeas instead and added a splash of water. Otherwise followed recipe to a T- balance of flavors is amazing and much more filling than traditional avocado toast.

PUL small logo PUL Team - Jan. 21, 2024, 11:05 p.m.

Woohoo! So happy that the avocado toast was enjoyed, Christine ☺️

Odette - Jan. 17, 2024, 6:30 a.m.

Made this with butter beans and smokey bbq chipotle and it came out amazing! Really flavourful and low effort πŸ‘Œ

Chloe O - Jan. 14, 2024, 2:01 a.m.

This is insanely flavoursome! Will be eating on repeat

Goshia - Dec. 14, 2023, 9:19 p.m.

It was yummy! Thank you for the recipe!

michelle - Oct. 28, 2023, 3:18 p.m.

The bean paste tastes amazing (it was quite dry so we added a squidge of lemon) the combo was so delicious

Amber - Aug. 21, 2023, 10:48 a.m.

Amazing recipe! A balanced flavor and made it in less than 15 minutes with left overs for tomorrow.

This avocado toast is delicious! I absolutely love it. 🫢πŸ₯‘

Sam - June 27, 2023, 4:14 p.m.

This recipe is so easy and so much more flavorful than a restaurant-made avocado toast, I make this pretty much every week

Caren - May 2, 2023, 2:11 a.m.

I’ve been working my way thru some of your recipes. Some I like, this one I LOVE!

H - April 17, 2023, 5:44 a.m.

This was delicious! My first time trying Chipotle peppers in adobo, fantastic flavor. Will definitely be making this again

Woohoo! So glad it was enjoyed, H 😊

Martunia - Feb. 27, 2023, 5:01 p.m.

I make this one often. I like the spiciness of the Chipotle pepper combined with the creaming avocado and the sweetness of the corn. Love it!

00karolina - Feb. 25, 2023, 3:58 a.m.

So delicious, my favourite breakfast meal :)

Ildi - Feb. 20, 2023, 12:14 a.m.

I did Veganuary for the first time this year and this has quickly became my favourite brunch recipe - savoury weekend breakfasts are one of my favourite things in the world and I'm happy I found a vegan option that is just as tasty and fulfilling!

PUL small logo PUL Team - Feb. 20, 2023, 7:34 a.m.

Oh so lovely to hear, Ildi, it means so much πŸ€—

Inbar - Feb. 11, 2023, 7:13 p.m.

Delicious and with special flavors! I doubled the quantities. I added a little lemon juice for a refreshing tasteπŸ˜‹

PUL small logo PUL Team - Feb. 12, 2023, 12:12 a.m.

Thank you, Inbar!

Elyse - Jan. 19, 2023, 5:14 p.m.

I LOVE this recipe! I've also made it for my non-vegan boyfriend and it's one of the few breakfasts he'll say doesn't make him miss having eggs. I sometimes just make the chipotle bean dip (even if I'm not making the full recipe here) to keep on hand throughout the week for snacks or sandwich spreads, or to put out as part of an appetizer spread if I'm having people over.

PUL small logo PUL Team - Jan. 20, 2023, 7:34 a.m.

So kind of you to make it for your boyfriend, Elyse! It means so much to hear too 😊

Dagmar - Oct. 15, 2022, 1:44 p.m.

This bean spread really does it for me!
I had no Chipotle sauce, so I subbed it with sambal and soy sauce. It worked just as well!
For those who do not have a chopping machine: mine is broken so I used a masher (in the Netherlands we use it to mash our stamppot). Turned out fine!
I am thrilled to have this one in my repertoire. Thank you!

PUL small logo PUL Team - Oct. 16, 2022, 7:08 p.m.

Hey Dagmar! Thank you for sharing the lovely modifications. We're so happy the recipe was enjoyed πŸ˜ƒ

Shriya - Aug. 30, 2022, 4:24 a.m.

Another amazing recipe, I ended up using chickpeas for the recipe but it was amazing even with mexican seasoning (didn't have Chipotle in adobo sauce)

PUL small logo PUL Team - Aug. 31, 2022, 5:05 p.m.

Sounds like delicious substitutions! Thanks for taking the time to share, Shriya 😊

Belinda - June 12, 2022, 4:55 a.m.

Woohoo! So happy to hear, Belinda, thank you :)

So thrilled to hear, Shagun, thank you! Happy cooking πŸ€—

This chipotle bean spread is everything. I spread this on toast / a sandwich for a quick and portable lunch. Thanks for always coming up with new protein-packed sandwich spreads.

Thank YOU, Erica, for the kind words and helping make our PUL community so incredible πŸ˜ƒ

Diana - April 11, 2022, 7:56 p.m.

This is the first PUL recipe I’ve tried, and it was amazing! This will be on regular rotation in my house! Definitely encouraged to try more of your recipes now!! (I think I’ll try the traditional family ones!)

PUL small logo PUL Team - April 11, 2022, 9:44 p.m.

Awe we're so happy to hear, Diana, it means so much! Happy cooking πŸ˜ƒ

Sarah - April 3, 2022, 8:12 p.m.

Hi Sadia,
Quick question, when you use the chipotle in adobo sauce, are you just using the sauce or do you use the actual chipotle peppers too? Thanks!
We are huge fans of your recipes and have so many favourites. Thanks for doing what you do! With love from Canada ( Toronto).

PUL small logo PUL Team - April 3, 2022, 11:47 p.m.

Hey Sarah, thanks for the kind words! We just add the sauce, but you could add the whole peppers as well if desired. Sending love to Toronto πŸ™‚

Allyson - March 27, 2022, 4:47 p.m.

I'm always willing to try new avocado toast variations and this one did not disappoint! I love the chipotle flavour and also love that it's also high protein too! Thanks for the inspiration PUL! I might try to experiment with other high-protein additions to avocado toast. Maybe with an edamame dip/spread blended with some tahini, miso, and ginger... wish me luck haha :)

PUL small logo PUL Team - March 27, 2022, 9:32 p.m.

Ohhh such lovely ideas, Allyson, do let us know how the experimenting goes 😍

Eunny - March 26, 2022, 1:08 p.m.

What a lovely avodado toast! May I ask what the little food processor is in the video?

PUL small logo PUL Team - March 27, 2022, 12:10 a.m.

Hey Eunny, thanks for the question! That would be a hand blender that we got from a local shop in the Netherlands. It's the Tefal brand: https://bit.ly/tefal-mixer. You can learn more on hand blenders in our kitchen essentials article if you're interested and haven't already seen it yet: pickuplimes.com/article/kitch…

Vicky - March 25, 2022, 8:08 p.m.

This recipe is fantastic, I’m officially addicted! I swapped cannellini beans for great northern beans and it still turned out great. Very filling and it gave me sustainable energy throughout the rest of the day. Highly recommend and will make again!

PUL small logo PUL Team - March 26, 2022, 11:10 p.m.

Mmm sounds lovely, Vicky, we're so happy to hear πŸ˜ƒ

Terezie Payer - March 24, 2022, 6:48 p.m.

This is so good, oh so good! Thanks for sharing the recipe. It was a great success with my husband, lol.

PUL small logo PUL Team - March 25, 2022, 1:19 a.m.

We're so glad it was enjoyed, Terezie, thank you!

Sarah - March 15, 2022, 3:37 a.m.

This recipe saved us after we both got home late from work! Very satisfying and quick! We also topped with toasted sunflower seeds. Our food processor broke, but mashing the beans worked just fine. Thank you so much, Sadia & PUL Team!

PUL small logo PUL Team - March 15, 2022, 6:09 p.m.

Hey Sarah, we're so glad the recipe was enjoyed. How unfortunate to hear about the food processor as well - we hope it wasn't from this recipe! Mashing is a lovely idea in any case 😊

Sabina - March 15, 2022, 12:34 a.m.

Hi Sadia, what can I substitute a chipotle adobo sauce with?

PUL small logo PUL Team - March 15, 2022, 6:07 p.m.

Hey Sabina, you can substitute the chipotle adobo sauce for a hot sauce of your choosing, such as Tabasco. Do let us know how it goes if you give the recipe a try 😊

Charlotte - March 11, 2022, 7:07 p.m.
