What others say
We tryed it for christmas, because of it's real festive aura (hope that's the right word for that :) ) What should I say? We enjoyed, it was so delicious! Thanks for that recipe
Yum :)
So happy with this dish! I added a carrot, nutritional yeast, and black pepper to the bean blend and also added a shallot and tempeh to the mushrooms. Made for an EXCELLENT meal! Absolutely loved the cabbage too
Light yet very filling. Thank you PUL
This was an excellent and quick meal for weeknights and I have it on rotation regularly.
Only thing I would change and found better taste with is skipping cabbage to a sautéed form instead or a cruncher sautéed vegetable like Brussel sprouts or broccolli. I just didn't like the cabbage which felt soggy/too soft and a crunchy preparation I felt balanced the dish out better. Loved the bean sauce, mushrooms, and the quick cook!!
This is a really good and easy dish to make. I reduced the portion size to one since I was just making it for myself and the water evaporated. I’m not sure if I needed to reduce the cooking time or turn the heat down to low. Or something else? I just added a bit of extra water and vegetable bouillon to the beans in the blender to make up for it. Everything still tasted delicious!
Just made this tonight. It’s SO flavorful which was surprising because we didn’t know what to expect with so few ingredients. Charring the cabbage worked really well too. We added this to our growing list of liked recipes in the app. Thanks!
Easy to make, interesting flavours. Good recipe.
This is delicious!! I took a few liberties. I used veggie stock instead of water and Italian better than bouillon along with fresh garlic . That bean sauce is a delight and I am already thinking what else I can pair it in. To think I didn’t feel like cooking today. Good stuff here ❤️❤️
Tasty way to use up cabbage which always seems to go on forever in my house!
I really enjoyed this. I substituted most of the ingredients for similar things that I already had/could get from the shop and it was really tasty. It was a nice change to the usual one pot dishes that I make and was a lot quicker and easier than I expected. Yum!
Very tasty and super easy! I only had a can of beans in chili sauce so I used that for the sauce and it tasted great with the cabbage.
Also, thanks PUL team for the idea of making sauce from a can of beans - I would’ve never thought of that!
Super easy and super savoury! Perfect for a autumn evening!
I have a small, round cabbage. Can I substitute this for the pointed, or will the taste or tenderness be altered too much? I didn’t even realize there was such thing as a pointed cabbage until now. 🫢
Lovely recipe, surprisingly easy to make and very delicious, great way to prepare cabbage, (we added some leftover multicolor glazed carrots)
I loved making this easy recipe
Liked the flavors very much. Agree with other reviewers this one is easy and I followed the tip to go with v-butter as fat for mushrooms, also salting elements along the way is key.
This is a very simple recipe so I like that! I probably suck at salting things, so I added vegan butter to the mushroom, and I probably should have added more salt on the cabbage. It’s easy to plate too. I’m gonna try it replacing rice with something like couscous next time!
Yummy winter dinner!
Surprisingly good! And sooo easy and quick to make. Highly recommended. 🙂
