Yeah no this wasn't one for us. Just one big chunk of tofu, not enough seasonings for us. Loved the sauce!!

You could always try adding more seasonings or slicing the tofu thinner for extra flavour next time 🤗

I might give it another try! I used the left over sauce the next day on a bun with pulled bbq from planted and it was really good! So I will definitely use the sauce recipe again :)

This recipe was outstanding! What have I been missing out on?!
I've heard of 'tofish' before but never tried it and, with all the extras combined in the bun, this recipe reminded me a lot of a wholesome vegan version of McDonald's fish sandwich. 😁

The texture of the baked tofu together with the breaded coating was spot on! My partner and I both loved it. 🙌🏻

This burger was SO delicious. I'm not a huge tofu fan but this just changed my world. I didn't have chickpea flour as I couldn't find in the local supermarket but I subbed it for almond flour and seemed to work fine. I also had Spinach instead of lettuce. 👌🏽

I am surprised that a lot of people don’t realize they can make their own chickpea flour in two seconds by placing dry chickpeas in a blender!

this perfectly captures the essence of the fish sandwich while maintaining a distinct identity as a plant-based meal. I've never thought to coat tofu in nori and it works so well!!

sadly my local grocery store did not have chickpea flour. I substituted wheat flour and I don't think it was a very good substitute. mixed with the water the gluten made it pretty gelatinous, so coating the tofu was a process lol. I think it also slowed the cooking.

excited to try it another time with the right flour!
