The classic recipe for eggnog typically includes eggs, sugar, milk, and cream. It is often flavoured with nutmeg and can be spiked with alcohol, such as rum, brandy, or bourbon. Our virgin, plant-based version is just as creamy, deliciously spiced, and utterly delightful. It captures the essence of the season in every creamy sip.

So good! But I added 6 cl rum instead and also added abit of cardamom and cinnamon to it. 👌

I've made this eggnog four times already this holiday season! It is the best eggnog I've ever tasted. While I tried it with soy milk, barista oat milk delivers far superior flavor and is absolutely worth using. I added a cinnamon stick to a few batches, which was a lovely touch. The custard powder and spice infusion create incredible depth of flavor and a luxuriously creamy texture.

That’s the ultimate holiday compliment, Maxine! Cheers to keeping the festive vibes creamy and delicious! 🥰

I know it's no longer Christmas but tried this today because I've never had Eggnog before! I was skeptical but it was super smooth and creamy. I had it with a vegan Mince Pie and it elevated the whole experience! Will be making this every year! 🥰

Aw we're so happy to hear! Thank you, Molly ☺️

This is delicious! I’ve made traditional (non-vegan) eggnog many times, and I love this just as well. We’ll want to play with different milks; can’t have soy, and I made this with cashew milk. I suspect oat milk would be a good option too. But this recipe so much easier than separating the eggs, cooking them and making sure they don’t clump, etc.

Thank you for making an old favorite so much more accessible!

Aw we're so happy that the vegan eggnog recipe is being enjoyed, Kathy, and happy experimenting! 🤗 ✨

Karne Steyn - Dec. 23, 2023, 11:02 a.m.

This was the first time we (our family) had eggnog so we don't have anything to compare it with, but it was good.
My husband loves custard, so he loved it.
Always saw eggnog in movies, but never knew what it was or bothered to find out.
I will definitely make it again in the winter.

Shane - Dec. 17, 2023, 11:02 p.m.

This was lovely!! Haven't had eggnog since going vegan and this tasted like the real deal who thought it would be so easy!!

Delish! If doing just one serving, I'd recommend adding a bit more oat milk.

Dean - Dec. 13, 2023, 9:17 p.m.

Used all the ingredients as per the recipe.
Ok, I lied.
Instead of 2 tsps of Rum I added the whole bottle. Don’t judge me please Sadia 😂

Ah, the more festive spirit, the merrier! Hope you enjoy it responsibly, Dean! 😜🥂

Dean Allen - Dec. 16, 2023, 9:19 p.m.

Of course! 😄 It was so good I’ve decided to make some more to give as Christmas gifts for family and friends, but with a sensible 2 tsps of rum 😉 Thanks and Merry Xmas!

Tonka Dolenec - Dec. 13, 2023, 3:07 p.m.

I've substituted vanilla custard powder with vanilla pudding powder because that was what I had home. I didn't have whole cloves so I've used ground cloves. It was a little too sweet for me, next time I will add less sugar. Nonetheless it turned out absolutely delicious. Will be making it again❤️

Yayyy we're so happy to hear, Tonka, thank you for sharing your modifications with us! 😃

Karen Wright - Dec. 23, 2024, 3:01 p.m.

Thank you for the suggestion on the pudding because that's what I have to.

I also like the idea of adding dates instead of sugar.
