Ingredients
-
1 cup (240 mL)unsweetened soy milk†
-
1 cup (240 mL)canned full-fat coconut milk
-
1 tsp (3 g)ground turmeric
-
1 tsp (3 g)ground cinnamon
-
2Medjool dates, pits removed
-
1 pinchground black pepper
-
-
¼ cup (60 mL)brewed espresso (optional)
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender* and blend on high until smooth.
- Pour this mixture straight into a saucepan. If your blender isn't very powerful, or if you don't like small fibres to remain in your drink, strain the mixture first when pouring it into the saucepan.
- Bring to a gentle simmer on medium-high heat, stirring throughout. Taste test and add maple syrup if you'd prefer the drink sweeter. When warmed through, remove from the heat.
- To turn it into a turmeric latte, add some brewed espresso to your cups if desired. Pour the golden milk into the cups, and enjoy!
Notes
- †Nutrition tip: aim to use plant-based milk that is fortified with calcium.
- * If you don't have a blender, simply substitute 2 dates for 1 Tbsp (15 mL) maple syrup.
Storage
- Best to enjoy this drink immediately.

Yummy and comforting. I didn't strain mines but i should have. Great drink.
I don’t even need the syrup, it’s perfect with just the dates! Such a comfort drink for a rainy day or when you want to slow down. Definitely a favourite!
It's very tasty and comforting!!!
Who wants my recipeee?xd
It’s delicious, I skipped coconut milk for water, but added a bunch of stuff- few pecans, pumpkin seeds, of course gingerbread spice instead of cinnamon, as always, coconut flesh from a jar and hemp sends, double strained to get it smooth et voilà ! Highly recommend to add few knobs of dark chocolate 🍫 n stead of coffee too , and a pinch of salt !:)
Growing up among people who enjoy Turmeric milk before bed, I thoroughly enjoyed making your version of this drink ! It was so soothing 🥰😊
Thanks for creating this recipe ! Keep up the good work.
I just love this app! The recipes are creative and really yummy! Today I made this without the coconut milk (out of it). I added a 1/8 tsp of clove and nutmeg. Served it over ice. Yum!
I Love making this drink to enjoy with my husband in the evenings, I find very comforting. I added the seeds from 2 cardamom pods, I find that the dates are enough for sweetness and it turned out so delicious I am now obsessed! Thank you keep up the good work!
one of my favourite drinks! so soothing, so satisfying but without that groggy feeling after drinking it :)
Super tasty with a subtle taste of turmeric and perfect sweetness 😍
Absolutely delicious, creamy, and comforting!
Thanks for all information, One more thing you are first channel who replyed so fast so thanks again. Good luck for your future
I made this and added star anise pods, nutmeg and a wee pinch of cloves. Divine!
Wow! I was not expecting to like this so much! This was so delicious and easy to make and the aroma of cinnamon was so perfect for the first cold day of the year!
So delicious!
Drank it just as it is without coffee and oh my god.... Soo good!! I'd made the golden latte mix before and had enjoyed it, but this tastes even better!
Usually pair this with lotus biscoff so good!
Amazing! The perfect evening drink
So good and warming! Perfect for a rainy day :)
Drink this one almost every day!
Also works great with cows milk and honey👌
And a combination of cows milk and coco milk.
Just try it! It works al the ways
So delicious!!! I made it to enjoy before bed and love it as part of my "wind down" routine!!
Very Tasty! 😌
Just made it and it's lovely! I grated a little fresh nutmeg on top, once it was in my mug. Thank you for the tasty recipe!
Thank you for no judgement vegan options. I love eating vegan but as so many often fall back into the rut of eating the diet of which I was raised. On that note, i made Golden Lattes using you recipe as a base for my husband and I this morning. They were delicious. I opted for easy by using Oatmilk creamer negating the need for a blender. Equal parts Sweet Cream Oatmilk creamer, Oatmilk, and coffee mixed with your recommended spices. Delicious.
Wow! Perfect!
I always order this at cafe's but sometimes the ones there are too sweet. But this one is just perfect. Now I don't have to go out to enjoy a good golden latte. Thank you Sadia!
My favorite evening wind down treat 🥰
I just made this and it is now one of my favourites, i also made some of your other recipes. delicious. so thank you. <3
Oooohhhhh!!!! al leer los ingredientes y ver la imagen de esta bebida dorada me transporta a la calma de una tarde de otoño para simplemente saborear y disfrutar de mi momento.
Me encanta.

Soothing, warming and delicious! I loved this recipe and would make it again.
I used this delicious golden milk recipe as a base to chia pudding. Just add 1/4 cup of chia seeds to 1 cup of golden milk. 10/10 would recommend. Especially good topped with fresh or defrosted fruit.
Best golden milk latte recipe I have tried!
Hii Sadia
I have been your big fan from long time.Thank you for sharing such amazing recipe.I will definitely try this one.
Big hug from India 🤗
Delicious start to my morning!
Is it possible to use your Golden Latte Instant Mix here instead of the spices for a quicker prep time?
Delicious, switched out soya for oat milk x
The perfect golden milk recipe! This one is definitely my favorite I've made, and it's great to have something warm and comforting (and without caffeine) at night.
this recipe for golden milk is one of the best I've tried. I've shared it around at work and had salesmen raving about it !! Its utterly gorgeous and I love making it
Wow!!! This is amazing 👏
This is so lovely and so simple. Thank you!
Made this tonight for my family and it was a wonderfully creamy & comforting drink. I found the two large dates just enough sweetness and didn't need to use the maple syrup. Will be trying the peanut caramel latte next! ☕
Fantastic delicious and so comforting !
Hi Sadia! I am making this drink more often. It's super delicious. Never thought turmeric milk will ever be so tasty.
Also, I wanted to ask can we eat soaked almonds with this drink? (not add it in it)
I have made this multiple times and it tastes amazing. Turmeric milk is a common drink in India, but it involves using the turmeric raw. My mom does not like the taste of raw turmeric so I took your idea to boil the milk with turmeric for a few minutes. It gets rid of that raw taste.
And adding cinnamon, vanilla makes it such an amazing drink.
Can I use whole milk instead of plant based milk? Also in that case do I need to use coconut cream? Also congratulations on your engagement!!
great recipe! I used almond milk only and added some fennel seeds and was delicious! I also used honey instead.
I'm trying each of these recipes everyday in cold Florida and loving the new take on each one.
I have made different versions of this drink overtime and am definitely going to try this. I'm going to attempt making it in a milk frother rather than use the blender and then stove. Question ... Do you not have to heat the spices first in the pan, similar to if you were cooking off flour when making a roux?
I have this at least once a week! It is so good, and your YT channel is such an inspiration!!!!!!!!
Mmmmmm😋
I cannot begin to tell you how often I make this. It has become an essential to my morning routine during COVID. It's so soothing and thick and SO tasty.
I never thought I would love a turmeric milk so much - this one is freaking delicious! I really, really, really recommend it!
One question: if using a shot of espresso, does the caffeine retain the absorption of turmeric?
This drink was our little nutritious friend during the challenging times of the pandemic! Absolutely yumm and comforting. Thanks for the recipe Sadia!
Absolutely LOVE this drink and one of my go-tos (well, all PUL's recipes are incredible and my go-tos but this has to be one of the staples to curb after-dinner sugar cravings!). The black pepper adds that little edge to warm you up inside :) Any tips on how to stop the blitzed date sinking to the bottom and instead make it amalgamate more into the drink? Is it the dates I'm using? Anyway still a 5 star recipe by all means!
I was looking for recipes with Turmeric in it. I saw this drink and made it. The Golden Milk was good.
Such a comforting drink, I just love it! Thanks Pick Up Limes x
Great recipe !
This has become one of my favourite drinks to get me through the cold Canadian winters. It tastes so good that you wouldn't believe it's healthy for you!
Before I tried this recipe I had been searching for the best golden milk, but she ended my search completely!! Literally the best golden milk latte I have ever tasted! Prob make this at least 3 times a week without fail. Sidenote: I do add a dash of ginger for the extra kick
(TLDR; So creamy and comforting, you have to add it into the mix during the cold season!) Side note: I really love how this website gets right to the point with recipes. I really hate having to scroll through a long winded post just to find the deets. This site is beautiful! Ok, back to the milk! I tried this over the holiday season and this drink made me feel like I was such a health nut. It’s like you level up in life, when you drink this. I do have to add a touch more syrup for the next go-around, because I’m still training myself to consume less sugar. Bravo!
This has become the ultimate comfort drink for me , thank you so much for your amazing recipe.
Very delicious!
I'm a little bit confused.
The amount for two servings is the same, like on your old website? In the Video also it is not the same... 🤔 But delicious as all what you create🤰
This recipe is delicious. My one year old loves to enjoy it with me in her sippy cup. I love to have it instead of a cup of coffee in the afternoons or as a comfy drink to have before bedtime.
Love it. So tasty and comforting for the colder days.
Mmm, how many times have I made this... too many! So warm, cozy, delicious. I forego the maple, but that's personal preference.
