This looks delicious! 😍 Do you have any suggestion for substitute for the carrot tops? We only get the trimmed carrots without green tops in my town unfortunately!

Hey Tina! If carrot tops aren’t available, you could use parsley, cilantro, or even finely chopped kale for a similar fresh, herby touch. Julia commented that spinach also worked well as a substitute 🤗

Very nice - the toppings are necessary to elevate an otherwise ok sauce. Without the toppings 3/5 with them 5/5. I made it exactly as suggested and it looked really fancy, too, just like in the picture.

This was SO good! I also added chili oil to end, but felt so restorative and filling. Can definitely play around with it more with different toppings, but yum!

I've seen this recipe multiple times on the app already and was always hesitant to try it because I wondered how a sauce with carrots could really be good or flavorful. Well, I'm glad I finally gave it a shot because both me and my husband absolutely loved it! Super yummy sauce and crunchy toppings!

Surprising combination that works!
Normally I don’t really like lentils in my pasta but because they were roasted and together with the walnuts they gave a crunch. Perfect recipe to use up some carrots.

For me, this was a bit bland. Does anybody have an idea how to elevate this up a noch? I really liked the ingredients, and overall it was quite good :)

Hey Nadia, to elevate the dish more, you can try adding more seasoning, like extra chili flakes or smoked paprika, or a dash of lemon juice to brighten up the flavours. A sprinkle of vegan Parmesan or a drizzle of tahini can also add richness and depth 🤗

What an exceptional pasta!!! To think I only clicked on this because I had leftover carrots - I could’ve so easily missed out trying this!
The variety of textures from the nuts and crispy lentils as well as the depth of flavour in the sauce - my flatmate was shocked and said she can’t wait to try making this herself.

Just incredible, like a healthy version of Mac’nCheese! I made a few modifications: swapped roasted lentıls with spicy breadcrumbs because I had them. But I blended in some cooked white beans instead! I am thinking to freeze just the sauce, might it work?

That sounds delicious, Katya! Swapping in spicy breadcrumbs and blending white beans into the sauce is a fantastic twist. Freezing the sauce should work well - just thaw and reheat gently when you're ready to use it, adding a bit of water or broth to loosen the sauce as needed.

I had to be creative and had to replace some ingredients with ingredients that I had at hands. I replaced carrot with bell paper, carrot tops with spinach and walnuts with pecans. It turned out extremely delicious anyway! 🤤

Hey Margarita, you can substitute the miso paste with a bit of soy sauce for a similar umami flavour, or simply skip it if needed. Just keep in mind that the dish might have a slightly different depth of flavour without it the miso 🤗
