Nussecken, a German pastry meaning "nut corners," are a beloved treat composed of a shortbread-style base adorned with apricot jam, nuts, and a chocolate topping. These triangular delights harmonize the richness of butter, the crunch of nuts, and the sweetness of fruit, creating a depth of flavour in every bite.

I made these today for a small family gathering and everybody loved them! There were six of us and everything was gone in about 10 minutes, that's how good they were :)

So happy to hear that the recipe was enjoyed, Katarina. Thanks a bunch 🫶✨

Delicious! Can they be frozen for longer storage?

Hey Zoë, we didn't test it for this recipe but we suspect is should freeze just fine. For best results, freeze it all on a parchment paper in a single layer, and after a couple of hours when each piece is frozen, then transfer them to an airtight container for storage. This way they won't stick together when you're ready to pick out just one (or a few) to enjoy later. Let it thaw back to room temp, and enjoy!

I’m German and these look exactly like my grandma’s! Much better than the dry ones you get at a bakery! 🤩

Aw love the personal connection to the recipe, Eileen! Thank you 🤗
