Flavourwise it was a feast. I think I went wrong with the Spiced apricot mushroom sauce, this turned out to be really thick, perhaps I had more veggies, less water. But still yummie flavours. So all good there. The cauliflower was a huge success. Very tasty!
It’s delicious, I will definitely make a bigger batch next time so I can have leftovers.
Delicious!
I also used a lot more water for the sauce, but no problem with that.
Tastewise it was amazing, I did not strain the sauce.
This was not for me. It was a lot of work and my very small kitchen looked like a big mess afterwards, which would be okay, if the taste made up for it at the end. Sadly, I had a hard time keeping up the pace of the recipe, so that my cauliflower came out of the oven too soon and was cold by the time I served it. The sauce smelled fantastic, so I was looking forward to it. I agree with Franzi though, the water wasn't enough. For me, the vegetables cooked just fine, as they release water themselves, but I had to add more water by the end, because it wouldn't blend into a sauce like consistency. I eventually strained it, even though it was still extremely thick, and got a thin sauce out of it, with the majority if the sauce unable to be strained, having to go to waste (which I found really upsetting since I dislike wasting food very much and it had smelled so lovely before). Also the colour of the sauce was nothing like the bright orange in the pictures, although the strained thin sauce came close. I didn't substitute or leave out any ingredient.
As I always cook or prepare another portion for the next day, I will try again today, so the cauliflower will hopefully still be hot and therefore more enjoyable.
Made this tonight and it was very much enjoyed. Loved the spiced sauce, but in my opinion it needs way more water than just 180 ml, as all the vegetables in it couldn‘t proper cook, also the tomato paste additionally thicken’d it -so I probably used 2-3 times the recommended amount of water and it worked🤩I also strained it and try to use the leftovers as a yummy dip or spread💜
Thanks for the lovely flavour combo !
Loved this recipe so much, the roasted cauliflower is the best 😍
Loved this recipe, perfect for an indulgent weekend meal. The flavour of the spiced sauce and the cauliflower were perfect. So tasty!
I substituted agave syrup with maple syrup and used coconut cream milk for the yogurt and it turned out great.
Made this tonight my wife and I, excellent flavor. Both the sauces were really good. I think my extra sauce will go on a black bean burger 👍 this does take some effort to make but worth it.
It was very nice. The spricht and Star Anis aß a nice fruity zing to the Sauce
This was a unique and impressive meal! Loved the flavour combination. Felt like we were eating a high end restaurant! So creative!
I made this last night for a friend it was delicious a really amazing flavour profile and great for vegans as it's a very different taste we so often get curry's etc.
I made it for two, us greedy guts in the UK would need double the potato for four people maybe we just like our potato. I also doubled the apricots because I like them and I blended half the vegetable sauce and left half chunky which was very nice. In the UK we can get dried porcini mushrooms easily so I got those instead and they worked very well.
I'm loving the app thank you.
My favorite part of this dish is the spiced sauce! The aromatics that this brought to the kitchen were divine! It went so well with the other components. We did not drain the sauce because it looked so good we didn't want to waste any of it! I'm going to try roasting the potatoes next time since the unstrained sauce was a similar texture to the mashed potatoes. Love it!
Different flavor profiles than what we generally eat. But I really enjoyed it.
My in-laws had the sauce with some white rice and only then could really enjoy the dish. ( just a Indian thing).
Will make it again for sure.
Yum! My husband said we will do this every Sunday from now on! 😀 I realized at the last minute that I did not have dried apricots, so I used dates, it was still really really good! Thank you! ❤️
Used fresh mushrooms instead of the dried once, since I couldn’t find any. Also didn’t drain the sauce, as it was way too thick for that and I would have wasted all the good ingredients. Nonetheless it turned out super yummy with a touch of Christmas. Would 10/10 recommend
This was absolutely wonderful! Couldn't find dried shiitake, so used fresh ones, I think that worked out pretty well. Lovely meal to enter winter-season with
