I made this for a work potluck, and everyone demanded the recipe! So good I made it for my lunches the very next week!
Loved it and will be definitely making it again soon! All the chopping takes time, and I found that the cooked red lentils get mushy and don't hold their shape too well upon cooking. Is there any remedy for that? Otherwise it kind of tastes like a vegan "tuna" salad
Delicious
Very tasty and sweet! Skipped the mustard, added corn to the dip and used it in a wrap with some lettuce and tomato. I would definitely make this again.
To cut down on the chopping time, I used the grating disc from my food processor and "mashed" the chickpeas with the S-blade.
Also, let it chill. It tastes even better the day after!
Loved it! I had it in a sandwich with vegan ham and homemade buns 😋
Great Salat! Takes some time to chop everything, but it is worth it. Will definately make it again.
An absolute fav with our family - we have it as a salad. Soooo good!!
This recipe changed my entire outlook on using dill, it adds such great flavor and zest to it ! Wow, i will absolutely use dill more often in general now ! Thanks for this finger licking good snack recipe !
I live on this dip with crackers in the summer and it is my go-to for summer pot lucks. Everyone always loves it! I even started growing dill on my balcony because I make it so often.
I bring this to almost any gathering I go to! I absolutely love it!
Admittedly, I haven't tried ALL of the recipes on the Internet but I'd still bet that this is one of the best recipes of all time. It is AMAZING.
Two things: 1. Fresh dill really does make a difference. I tried to scrimp and use dried dill and it was still good but not as good as fresh.
2. I find that it helps to put the lentils and chickpeas in a cloth and squeeze all the liquid out before adding them to the other ingredients. This might be a personal preference but, for me, it makes the consistency better. I will make this again and again and again. Seriously, it's one of the best recipes I've ever tried. Thank you!
this is one of my fave dishes from Pick Up Limes!!! I make it all the time.
I love this dip and the combination of ingredients works so perfectly! I actually dislike raw celery or dijon mustard by themselves but in this dip they blend in and you can't even taste them! I especially enjoy this is a wonderful wholesome sandwich filling which is perfect to meal prep for future days.🌿🙌🏻 Even more so than the Mashed Chickpea & Dill Sandwich recipe as the flavours in this are slightly more complex (and involve pickles which are a personal fave). 🥰🥪
This salad tastes so fabulous that I could eat all by myself :) I skipped the celery because I didn't have any. Also I used tahini instead of mayo. With these changes it still turned out to be great. Such a filling and delicious recipe I really love it. Thank you so much...
Fantastic recipe. The seasonings are perfect. I plan on making a batch to use for sandwiches for work. I would suggest putting the mixture in a small container and making the sandwich itself at work as the mixture is very moist and the bread would be soggy by noon hour. Also, sprinkle the toasted seeds on just before eating. Do not skip any of the ingredients as they make the recipe fantastic.
So good! I use a food processor, makes things so much faster!
Are sunflowers necessary to this? Is there something I could sub for them? (I’m allergic).
I love your videos
Thanks!
This is one of my favorite PUL recipes!!
