This was very nice! I fried the seitan first as felt it would be too soggy otherwise, but this may have been due to my homemade seitan. I think next time I’d add some ginger to give the sauce a little kick and balance out the garlic. All in all very yummy though and we loved the generous portion size!

So glad you enjoyed it, Zarah! Frying the seitan sounds like a great adjustment 🤗

So delicious and so fast and easy! Perfect for a week night and I love the amount of protein. I think next time I will crisp up the seitan before adding sauce.

Thank you! :)

Amazing recipe!! Swapped seitan for tempeh and it was divine 😍

Good recipe

Olivia - Feb. 12, 2025, 6:06 a.m.

Really yummy! Was nice that we had some extra sauce to go with the rice.

Olivia - Feb. 18, 2025, 12:04 a.m.

Update - this sauce was so yum that I kept it as a liquid consistency and used it as a broth with noodles and tofu and veggies. Delicious!

Pretty good! It lacked a depth of flavour, so next time I might try and add sriracha to the sauce and see if that helps. Otherwise a really good recipe

Phillipa - Jan. 30, 2025, 11:12 a.m.

This was a definite hit with us. So easy to prepare and perfect for midweek dinners. Because of time I used brown rice noddles (2 mins in boiling water) and added them at the end. The chilli oil and sesame seed toppings really set off the flavours.

I also added in some leftover veggie strips from the previous day. Small handful of carrots and courgette (1/2 cup together) and two stems of a large pak choi.

That sounds amazing, Phillipa! Love the swap for brown rice noodles - such a great time-saver. So glad you enjoyed it 🤗

Easy to put together, high in protein, and delicious. What is there not to love?

Love this recipe! My husband does too!!

Greetings from Hamburg 🌱

It tasted ok, but wasn't our favorite recipe compared to others on this app. Perhaps it was a bit too straightforward, with less layers of flavor.

Sara - Nov. 2, 2024, 8:48 p.m.

Very tasty and the consistency was perfect for me with 3/4 cup of water! 👌😋

PUL team - Oct. 25, 2024, 9:44 a.m.

🌟 RECIPE UPDATE: Based on feedback, we've slightly decreased the amount of water used in the sauce. This helps make the sauce thicker, in a shorter amount of time. We hope you love the revised version! 💛 xo, Sadia (25 Oct 2024)

Tried the recipe again after the decrease in water......mmmm.....so much better. The BIG thank you for always listening to your community and continually striving to perfection. ❤

Super tasty! The 1 cup of water was perfect for a nice sauce consistency. I added some chili oil for some heat. 🌶️

Lieke - Sept. 18, 2024, 10:01 a.m.

Really yummy and easy as well! I also made the seitan using the recipe from PUL. For those who say it was too watery: the recipe calls for a cup of water, which seems like a lot at first. But when you let the sauce simmer for a couple of minutes, it really starts to thicken and becomes sticky, like the recipe is called! Not watery at all!

So happy to hear that the seitan stir fry was enjoyed, Lieke! Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience with it 🫶

Recipe tasted great but was too watery.

Tasted okay but far too much water in recipe

Absolutely delicious, my toddler asked for more vegetables three times! Absolute win.
